Welcome!

Hello to all of our new Life Group members. We are so glad you decided to join us. This blog is here to serve as a connection point for all of us. I will be posting upcoming events, both for the church and for our individual Life Group. I will also be posting devotions, spiritual thoughts etc. I hope you will be able to utilize this in a way that will be helpful to you all. Here are a few things you should know about Life Group:

When will we meet?

We will meet every 1st, 3rd and 5th Sunday night from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. One Sunday each month (except September) we will be going "out" as a group to do a planned activity.

Where will we meet?

Our first meeting will be held in OUR home. We need to move to a group members home after that. Please let us know if you think your home would be accommodating to a large group (parking, seating, etc.)

What do we do with our kids?

Well, this is an area we are working on. We know the struggles that come with having children and trying to be involved in things that don't include them, so we are open to having kids at our meetings. If you prefer not to bring them that is fine, but we are flexible in this area.

What Should We Expect?

Well, Life Group meeting will NOT be a bible study. We will study God's word and we will be covering a curriculum (we do feel God's word is vital), but the important thing to remember is that curriculum will not be our FOCUS. Our goal is to help you grow in your relationship with God and develop close Godly friendships within our close knit group. We will be focusing on fellowship over curriculum. We will be taking one Friday a month to have a group "outside" activity and there will also be opportunities throughout the year to serve "together" as a team in ministry and volunteer opportunities as provided by James River A/G. We hope each time we meet there is lot's of FUN involved!

I hope this intro is helpful. If you have ANY questions, please email us @ mccannfam5@gmail.com.

God Bless,

T.J. and Heather
